A couple of firsts were ticked off the list at the Wedding of “Fiona and Alan” It was my first ever Tuesday wedding, and I had the privilege of being asked to capture the lovely couples’ “First Look”. The first look is very popular in America, and it basically involves the couple having first sight of each other before the wedding ceremony, usually in a private location – with just the photographer present. The “The Kettles Hotel” had the perfect place for this on their grounds.
The day kicked off at Alan’s parents for some quick family shots, and then around the corner to the couples’ home where I was greeted by Cora, Fiona’s bridesmaid. While “Breda O’Neill” was on make up duties, I took shots of the preparations, then after some portraits of the bride we headed for the venue, and on the way got a small sprinkling of rain! Fortunately that was the last of it and we were treated to a beautiful afternoon in North County Dublin.
After the ceremony my self and the newlyweds headed to the beautiful Malahide Castle for some portrait shots, and then back to the hotel where the couple boogied the night way to Frankly Buble.
